ABOUT THE SEED FROM THE SEPULCHER
A horror-tale of the creeping terror that threatens the very boundary between flesh and the unknown!
Lured by rumors of ancient ruins and lost treasure, two orchid hunters venture deep into the forgotten jungles of Venezuela.
Amid the dense, untamed wilderness, they discover the remnants of an ancient civilization, long buried—and best forgotten.
Soon, the true horror of what they’ve unearthed begins to take root and the men realize they have awoken something far older and more dangerous than they could have imagined—a discovery that was never meant to be disturbed!
This work is presented as it was originally created and may contain outdated and offensive cultural depictions.
ABOUT CLARK ASHTON SMITH
Clark Ashton Smith was an American writer who worked in horror and science fiction, and would become known as “one of the Big 3” of Weird Tales magazine, along with H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard. Smith has said that he tried to work “black magic” with his words, to delude his readers (as he puts it) into believing the unbelievable. Smith writes, “I make use of prose-rhythm, metaphor, simile, tone-color, counter-point, and other stylistic resources, like a sort of incantation.” Well respected by his peers, he started out writing poetry, then weird fiction, and later in his career, visual art.
