ABOUT THE WILDS

A remote forest hidden high and deep in the Sierra Nevada.... The Donner Party died here. Now fourteen campers are about to enter that savage sanctuary. They think their "survival weekend" will be a blast, a real party-adventure into the unknown.

But before nightfall, someone will make a fatal mistake. Before daybreak, man's most primitive instincts and nature's most brutal forces will be unleashed. Without warning, the happy outing will become an orgy of horror where nothing is what it seems and survival means escaping the engulfing evil of THE WILDS.

“Unrelenting…disasters, ghostly tales, persecutions and horrors…nature and man at their rawest in The Wilds!” — Peter Straub

ABOUT JULIA TEWELES

Julia Teweles was born as Claude Teweles in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She transitioned from male to female in 2007, although she always identified as female.

Teweles is an accomplished author, former book publisher, film producer, and social justice advocate. She was first published at age 15 by the National Geographic Society. In college one of her poems won honorable mention in a writing contest sponsored by the Academy of American Poets.

The Stalker was first published by Zebra Books in 1984. Teweles’ second novel, The Wilds, came out in 1989 from Dell Books.

Both novels fall into the category of psychological horror, where the reader is unsure where the evil is coming from. Are the supernatural forces real or coming from the tortured minds of main characters?

Teweles lives in Los Angeles with her daughter.
